2020 Service Auction Catalogue

Make plans now to support and attend a special ‘Covid edition’ service auction and potluck dinner to be held at the church on Saturday 21 November starting at 6.00 pm.

What is a service auction?

Members, friends and others donate a service they agree to provide to be auctioned to the highest bidder.  With proceeds going to the church, our service auctions always have been our major annual fundraising event.

Why a Covid edition auction?

Due to Covid restrictions throughout the year, we haven’t been able to plan ahead for our usual auction. That’s why this year’s Covid edition will include only services and not goods or items.  Also, we will be asking all attending to bring food (a main, salad or dessert for 6 – 8 people) for a shared pot-luck dinner.

What can be donated?

Services you can donate include hosting a dinner or boat excursion, organising a hike or city walking tour, doing house or garden work, baking and delivering cakes or dinners (especially those that can be frozen), offering computer assistance or cooking lessons, cleaning someone’s silver, driving someone to the airport, etc.

Any donations or questions?  To lodge your donation or discuss possible ideas, please contact Betsy Marshall via the form below as soon as possible.

As the dinner and auction will be our first major social gathering in nearly a year, we hope to see you at the church at 6 pm on Saturday the 21st .
